needing your help.

Happy Seek Me to Live Wednesday... or what's left of it, anyways.  Better late than never, right?

I'm needing your help with this one.  Weigh in with your insights to this question below:

"How do you keep God's vision for your life before your eyes?"

  1. I will give a simple answer in the hope that others will follow.

I think we have to first know what God's vision for our life is not what we think God's vision for our life is.

I think the only true way of knowing this is looking at the gifts and talents God has given you and finding how you can put them to use for the kingdom, and then being in prayer and communion with God and practicing some good spiritual disciplines to help you listen to what God has for you and then be obiedient in those steps.

I once had a friend who told me ministry was like trying on suits you have to get involved and try a few on and see what fits. It's like when I auditioned for a vocal spot in CF. I had already been leading worship in our old church for a couple years before we made the switch to PLC so I thought I would auditon and get right on a team..... yeah not so much turns out I was like Chris Farley a fat guy in a little coat. That suit wasnt going to fit me anymore in the spot I was at in my walk. So I stepped up into audio and have been blessed to be running sound since the move to Waterloo and enjoy seeing people engage in the service, and am currently taking some steps to forward getting involved in other things within P&P.

So in closing use what you been given.

Stay in relationship with Dad by practicing some good spiritual disciplines that help your spirit hear His. Get involved and see what fits knowing that as you grow the ministry that is perfect for you might not always be perfect for you.

Ok time to get back to my van down by the river. Hope this helps Jesse.
