weekly update, 8.20.09

Hey everyone!

Sorry that we missed a week there. Here is the video update for this week:

HIGHLIGHTS:

-P&P Retreat - depart PLC at 7:30 a.m.; return 5:30 p.m. 30 have signed up so far!

-VolunTOUR - huge success! 5 people scheduled to audition for our worship teams; 15 people who want to be connected to our tech teams.

-New Tech Volunteer Integration - we'll be tapping some of you on our tech teams to contact some of these potential volunteers to have them shadow you on the weekends that you are serving. Also, we'll be holding some tech training nights after our All Team meetings for both new volunteer training and cross-training of current volunteers.

-Avioms - We have a new and improved way of helping you to hear what you need to hear when you're serving on one of our worship teams on the weekends. We'll be training you on how to use them on the weekends. Very simple and easy to use, and you get to hear exactly what you want and need!

Hello everyone! Happy August! Hard to believe, isn't it? Summer's almost over, and fall's almost here.

HIGHLIGHTS:

-All Team Meeting Tuesday, August 11th, 6:30 p.m.

-Need help for food/cafe set-up for All Team Meetings

-Outdoor Service call times for Sunday, August 23rd: 6:00 a.m. for tech, 7:00 a.m. for music

-P&P Retreat Saturday, August 22nd - RSVP to Shari Ford (shari.ford@prairielakeschurch.org)

-Fall Auditions on Tuesday, September 22nd, and Tuesday, September 29th

ONE MORE THING:

If you were in the services this past weekend, you heard about PLC's VolunTOUR event on Thursday, August 13th, from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. We're gonna be asking some of you to help out with that event by simply being a representative from our ministry to all of those who want to check out and be involved in P&P. Dan and Shari will be contacting some of you shortly; but, in the meantime, if you'd like to be a part of it and be someone who can share your experience and answer questions about our ministry to other potential volunteers, let Shari know by either calling her at 319.266.2655 ext. 124 or sending her an email.
